Kensington Bushland

Vested in 1912 Kensington Bushland, located in the Town of Victoria Park, has a cultural, historical and scientific significance as it remains a natural bushland in its almost undisturbed original state. This is a pretty rare piece of land considering the urban landscape surrounding it.

After a devastating bushfire in 2016, the Town of Victoria Park decided to document the rejuvenation of the Kensington Bushland so I spent each month of Spring documenting rare orchids, flowering wildflowers and burned trees coming back to life. This year I am repeating this process as the Bushland continues to thrive, with new species growing and wildlife returning.
