Elopement photography for chill vibes & fun folks
Hey, love rebels! If you’ve landed on this page, I’m assuming you’re not planning a cookie cutter wedding or a super traditional event where you follow all the "rules".
You're a no-fuss couple who would rather escape (or stay) and do the vow thing alone or with a handful of mates. I get you, I do! Over-the-top vibes just ain't your thing. You do you!
That’s why I became a Perth elopement photographer. I love small, intimate weddings where the couple is the focus; *not* the crowd.
How do you know eloping is right for you?
-
Big weddings aren't your thing
-
You want to do something a bit different
-
You want it to be just the two of you
-
You’d rather not take out a mortgage to get married
-
You care about the environment and think weddings shouldn't cost the Earth
-
You want to be mindful and present and enjoy your special day
-
Getting married somewhere obscure or unique excites you
-
You want an easy elopement package to make everything straightforward
The elopement experience
“To elope” used to mean secretly running away to get married, traditionally somewhere far away from home. Nowadays, elopements are micro-weddings with 10 or fewer people.
So, what’s the difference between a traditional wedding and an elopement?
A traditional wedding is a celebration for everybody. An elopement is just for the two of you. Sounds pretty dreamy, right?
An elopement typically means:
-
10 or fewer people
-
Focused on the couple, not the crowd
-
The wedding lasts less than one to two hours
-
No reception – more hangout vibes
The best part about eloping? There’s no rulebook. You can get married in a tent, Airbnb or in the middle of the street if you really want! It’s your day, after all. So, why wouldn't you do it your way?
How does a Perth elopement photographer fit in?
You may want a no-fuss wedding but you still want to document it, right? I won’t give you the “memories are made to be captured” spiel because, well, you know it already!
What I will say is that photographers who specialise in elopement packages do more than capture your elopement... they help you plan it!
As an elopement specialist, I help you:
-
Find a celebrant
-
Decide on a location
-
Schedule a ceremony time
-
Get ready and come together
-
Plan the music
-
And, of course, photograph the magic
An elopement wedding photographer (that’s me!) knows all the great places to elope in Perth and can take you on adventures out of the city.
As for the photos, I’m all about capturing your personality. I won’t get you to pose – my direction is centred around play. I embrace spontaneity and want you to enjoy the experience of being yourselves.

Elopement photography FAQ's
What’s your booking process?
Once you’re happy to go ahead, I ask for a small non-refundable retainer to secure the date. The remaining balance will be due by the date of the elopement.
How soon do we get our photos?
I try to get some sneak peeks to you within a few days so you can share your wedding with family and friends. The rest of the gallery will be available within eight weeks.
How do I see my images?
I use an online gallery system called Pic-Time where you have the option to download the images in high resolution (for printing) or smaller web-sized files. You will both be provided with your own login where you set your own password. The gallery allows you to invite family and friends to view the gallery and download images. Your images will also be connected to an online store of Australian printers and album makers for super easy ordering.
How many photos do we get?
I don't promise a minimum or maximum amount of images as this is completely dependent on your day and how much is happening. I try to document as much as possible and will deliver all the best images, sometimes a few variations of the same moment, and I like to include funny bloopers and images that tell a story (so you remember all the little things).
Do you have a celebrant and photography package?
I work closely with a great group of like-minded elopement celebrants. We work as a team, but you will need to book us separately as we have our own service agreements. I'll connect you with a celebrant when you make your enquiry.
How soon can we get married?
Soon! Just be mindful that your Notice of Intended Marriage (NOIM) must be completed with the celebrant at least one month prior to the ceremony day.
What if we change the date?
When I reserve a date for you, I don't accept other enquiries for that date. Therefore, the non-refundable retainer will generally not be transferable to a new date and a new retainer will be applied. If you're unsure about the date, let me know when you enquire and we'll work something out!
Should we just get married at a registry office?
You could. But you could also create a personalised service somewhere else for just a little extra. I've got some great civil celebrants that I can recommend.
Are there any restrictions on ceremony locations? Do we need a permit?
Not necessarily. You only need to apply for a permit if you want exclusive access to a public space or private property. There are so many awesome secret places ideal for small intimate weddings!
Do you do elopements in the South West?
I’m based in Perth, but I will occasionally travel down south for an elopement. I will ask for a minimum two hour booking and there is a $500 travel fee for locations further than one hour from the CBD.
Can we bring some friends or family?
Sure! But the idea of an elopement is to keep it intimate.
Do we need to bring witnesses?
You will need two legal witnesses. I can be a witness but the celebrant can not, so you’ll need to provide at least one other witness. I can provide one if need be.
Are you LGBTQIA+ friendly? Do you do same-sex or non-binary elopements?
Of course I do! All inclusive here. Love is love.
Can we do it any day or time?
Yes! Within reason of course. If you want a ceremony at 3am, I might charge you extra for it. And as far as photography is concerned, I may suggest different times for better photos.
Do we have to wear a white dress? A suit?
No way! Wear whatever you like. I love couples breaking the rules.
Can you arrange other things for the day?
Yes! I can arrange food, cake, flowers etc. at an extra cost. Just ask.
Can you arrange a videographer?
Whilst I don't offer the service personally, I know some great Perth videographers who have a similar, documentary style of videography for every budget and offer smaller elopement style packages. Having a photographer and videographer who have a similar working style makes the experience run smoothly for couples, as we work like a team. Please be wary that some old-school videographers have elaborate setups and multiple videographers which can negatively impact the intimate experience of an elopement. Hit me up for my recommendations!
Can you arrange livestreaming?
Whilst I don't offer the service personally, I know some great Perth livestreaming videographers who do an amazing and professional job. Hit me up for their details!
Do we need to have a rehearsal?
Elopements are usually pretty relaxed, so a rehearsal isn't necessary.
Sound good?
