for the rebels
Traditionally to elope was to run away secretly in order to get married. Today, the essence of an elopement is to break away from tradition and consider nobody but the person you love on your wedding day. I have a passion for capturing these love stories and I want to tell your story candidly, authentically and creatively.
WHY ELOPING MIGHT BE RIGHT FOR YOU:
You want to get married but don’t want the fuss of a big wedding.
You want to make your wedding affordable.
You're too shy to walk down the aisle in front of all your family and friends.
You want to get married somewhere obscure or small or weird.
You want to have a minimalist, eco-ethical ceremony.
You want to keep your wedding ceremony private, so it’s just about the two of you.
Teaming up with some amazing Perth celebrants, the Eclectic Elopement package was developed to make eloping in Perth easy and stress free. The elopement package includes a customised legal marriage or commitment ceremony and a one hour photography session and travel within the Perth metropolitan area. All you need to do is get dressed and show up! If you'd like to read more, check out my blog post on eloping in Perth.

How soon can we get married?
Your Notice of Intended Marriage must be completed with the celebrant at least one month prior to the ceremony day.
Should we just get married at a registry office?
You could, but for a fraction above the cost of a registry office wedding, we can offer an all-inclusive, personalised and intimate service you'll remember for the rest of your lives. Why get married in an office when you could get married anywhere else?
Are there any restrictions on ceremony locations? Do we need to get a permit?
You generally only need to apply for a permit if you want exclusive access to a public space or if you want to be on someone else's private property. If you're not sure where to get married please ask, we have some great secret places ideal for small intimate weddings!
Do you do elopements in the South West?
We are Perth based but are happy to travel down south for an elopement, however there will be a travel fee involved roughly calculated at $1 per kilometre from Perth (eg. Margaret River would be $275). We will typically charge for locations further than one hour out of Perth.
Can we bring some friends or family?
Sure! But the idea of an elopement is to keep it simple and intimate, so we try to limit guests for the elopement package.
Do we need to bring our own witnesses?
You will need two legal witnesses. Kat (Red Eclectic Photographer) can be a witness but the Celebrant can not - so you will need to provide at least one witness. If you'd rather keep it private we may be able to arrange a witness for you.
Do you do same sex or non binary weddings?
Of course we do! Love is love.
Can we do it at any time of the week, or any time of day?
Yes! Within reason of course. If you want us to perform a ceremony at 3am, we might charge you extra for it! And as far as the photography is concerned, we may suggest ideal times to capture the moment.
Do we have to wear a white dress? A suit?
Wear whatever you like! Break the rules!
Can you arrange other things for the day?
We can organise food, cake, flowers etc for a small fee. Let us know what you need!
Do we need to have a rehearsal?
Typically an elopement is pretty relaxed and a rehearsal isn't necessary.
How soon do we get our photos?
I try to get at least one awesome photo to the couple within 24 hours, so they have evidence of the secret ceremony that they can share with family and friends. The rest of the gallery will be available within 3 weeks.
